Q: Can I send you my photos on a CD so you can create the photo book for me?
A: Unfortunately you will have to use the software to create your photo book according to your wishes concerning design.
Q: Is it possible to choose my own combination of book size and cover type?
A: You can only choose the combinations offered by the software.
Q: Can I send you my photo book on a CD?
A: We are not able to process your data manually from CDs or DVDs. Please upload the photo book using the software.
Q: What happens to my PRIMA photo book after the upload?
A: You can order your photo book for production after the upload is finished. Happy Eyes offers you 2GB free storage capacity on its server. Your photo book file will be saved for three months. You can easily order additional copies of your photo book during this period without need to upload it again.
Q: How long will it take to upload my photo book?
A: This largely depends on the size and number of the photos in your photo book and the speed of your internet connection. A standard PRIMA photo book with 52 pages will be uploaded in about 10 to 15 minutes with DSL internet connection.
Q: What photo formats (file types) are supported by the software?
A: You can use images with JPG, GIF,BMP, PNG and TIFF format file.
Q: What resolution do photos need to have?
A: Best is to use from 300 dpi on up resolution for good quality printing. When you use photos with bad resolution, the software will warn you that your photos are going to be printed in a bad quality. Reversely, when the photo's resolution is 300 dpi or higher, you will not be warned about a quality problem.
Q: Can I create my own cover or background?
A: For the moment you have to choose from the predefined ones or to choose a color. By double click on the page you have the possibility to choose a color from the rich color palette.
Q: Your SW doesn't work on my computer. Why not?
A: You probably don't have the Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your PC. You can download it for free from Microsoft's web site.
Q: Is there an Apple Mac version of the Happy Eyes software?
A: Actually there is no Apple Mac version of the software available.
Q: I created my photo book but it is over 500 MB. How do I send it?
A: You have to use the software to upload your file to the website on your account (please register yourself before). The software will resize your file before upload and then the upload will begin.
Q: Can I put a single photo on two pages?
A: This possibility will be offered soon.
Q: Can I use my own photo as a background?
A: This possibility will be offered soon.
Q: I choose a frame for my photo, but now I do not like it. How to remove it?
A: With right click on your photo, choose “Change frame” from the drop down menu. On the new appearing window, please choose “Do not use picture frame”.
Q: Can I have empty pages in my book, in order to place my original signature?
A: Yes, you can have empty pages as many as you like. If the empty pages are at the end of your photo book the software will ask you to delete them or not. So you need to answer “No”.
Q: I cannot upload my Prima photo book. The message from the software is: “Internet connection problem or server is busy” What can I do?
A: When this message occurs please first check your internet connection and than look whether the “Fire Wall” on your PC (from “Control Panel”) rejects the connection with our server. A second reason could be the restricted permission for uploading files from your server. For this you need to contact your administrator.
Q: I created a Photo Book but now when I want to open it, it shows “Error opening file album”.
A: Happy Eyes has 2 versions of the software. If you created your photo book with version 1 you have to open it with version 1. Version 2 cannot open a file from version 1 and reverse. On the “Download” page are available both versions for downloading.
Q: How safe is payment through a credit card?
A: The payment process is handled by our partner Wirecard AG. The payment is done through an encrypted SSL-connection. Moreover our partner is certified for information security. Please feel free to visit http://www.wirecard.de for additional information.
Q: Do the prices include also transport?
A: The transport is charged separately according to the country delivery address. The delivery will only be for free if you ordered more than 100 photo books.
Q: If I order more books, will I get a discount?
A: Yes, our system will calculate automatically your discount per quantity (more than 5 books) and additionally we offer the discount per numbers of orders. You can see your discount on your order page before the payment.
Q: Can I see the price of the order before I pay it?
A: Yes. The price will be displayed during the ordering process.
Q: Can I pay a photo book and send it as a gift, so the receiver will not see the price of it?
A: Yes you can order as many copies as you like and fill in up to 10 different delivery addresses. We send the invoice by email to the registered customer. So if you are the registered customer and you order it, you will receive the invoice.
Q: Do you send a paper invoice with the photo book ?
A: We send only a HTML invoice automatically to your email address directly after the payment transfer was successful. We send a paper invoice only on customer request.
Q: How are the books printed? Are colors resistant?
A: Photo books are printed by a professional digital press with 300 dpi resolution and the colors are resistant.
Q: Can I print the photo book myself?
A: This option is not supported.
Q: Do you have different types of printing paper?
A: We print on 180 gr/m2 white gloss paper.
Q: How long does it take to produce my photo book?
A: In the page “Prices” there are information related to the production time. It depends from the type of cover you choose for your photo book.
Q: How long will take the shipping of my photo book?
A: The delivery time depends on the country zone in which is your delivery address. Please visit the page “Prices” and select your country from the country list for detailed information.
Q: How is the Prima photo book delivered to me?
A: The photo books are delivered directly to the given delivery address. In case there is no receiver on this address, our logistic partner will try to deliver it the next working day. Please have in mind that after 3 unsuccessful attempts for delivery the order will come back to us and you need to pay again the delivery price in order to get your package again.
Q: Where can I find information regarding my delivery?
A: After we sent your order, you will automatically receive an email including a link to the UPS website for following your parcel.
